We all know and understand that these are uncertain times and we're writing to let you know that we are all committed to weathering the storm together, with you.
We’re committed to continuously supporting the New Brunswick Adoption community of parents and caregivers as we all navigate a fast-evolving health situation that is touching so many people.
We recognize that your need for support may increase during this difficult time. We want to reassure you that our staff will continue to be available through phone, email, chat and Facebook. We already leverages many virtual collaboration tools and technologies to enable our employees in working remotely, and we will continue to rely on those services to offer support.
Following the advice of Canadian public health officials, here are some of the steps we are taking to help reduce the risks of contracting or spreading COVID-19:
(1) Our teams are implementing flexible, virtual support capabilities to allow us to remain engaged with our community, while minimizing the possibility of spreading the virus.
(2) We’re moving all of our in-person programming to virtual / online settings; we’re continuing to offer 1:1 support to families via phone, Facebook and email.
(3) We have postponed any Workshops planned from now to April 30 and hoping to offer online alternatives.
(4) Our staff will not be taking part in any large conferences, in-person gatherings, training activities, etc for the next few weeks.
(5) The Everyone's Children Luncheon scheduled for March 23, will be postponed until the fall. Stay tuned for a new date.
We will continue to assess this evolving situation, and we will look to the recommendations of public health officials and government to guide our approach. We encourage everyone to be informed, follow the advice of health care officials, and stay safe.

A toll-free information line and email address, which offers services in both languages, has been set up to help answer non-health related questions, including questions about compliance with the state of emergency. The number, 1-844-462-8387, is operational seven days a week from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The email address is email@example.com. Concerns about workplace safety should continue to be directed to WorkSafeNB.
HELP LINE ESTABLISHED TO ASSIST PEOPLE IN SELF-ISOLATION
The provincial government has partnered with the Canadian Red Cross to support New Brunswickers affected by the requirement to self-isolate. This service is available to all residents and visitors. The Canadian Red Cross can assist people in accessing a wide range of supports and services. People who have issues or concerns should call 1-800-863-6582.
