As a Support Network Coordinator, you will:
Facilitate Peer Support: Create opportunities for adoptive parents, those waiting to adopt, kinship caregivers, and foster parents to connect, learn, and support each other.
Coordinate Programs: Organize, promote, and lead support groups, workshops, panels, and webinars.
Provide Direct Support: Offer peer support and build relationships with participants by phone, email, and online.
Currently, most of our programming is virtual, but some in-person meetings and programming may be required in the future.
We seek a dedicated individual with relevant experience.
Key Assets:
Previous involvement with the NB Adoption Support Network.
Experience as an adoptive, kinship, or foster parent.
Knowledge of the New Brunswick foster care and adoption process, and available services for children who have experienced abuse and neglect.
Required Qualifications:
Residency: Currently reside in New Brunswick.
Understanding: Knowledge of the unique needs of children who have experience in the child welfare system.
Experience: Proven ability to coordinate, promote, and facilitate groups and workshops (virtual and in-person).
Tech Skills: Proficient with social media, especially Facebook.
Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Work Style: Self-motivated, able to work independently, and collaboratively with a team (electronically and in person).

Home Office: Able to work from a home office with reliable high-speed internet.
Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
