Sessions emphasize listening, shared understanding, and reassurance — without pressure to problem-solve or have answers.
This group supports connection across different stages of the journey and helps caregivers feel less alone.

Peer Support Group - bilingual
Who it’s for
Caregivers parenting tweens and teens within adoption, foster care, or kinship care.
What to expect
Riding the Wave offers a peer support space focused specifically on the emotional realities of parenting tweens and teens. Sessions invite caregivers to share experiences, reflect together, and support one another through a stage that often brings intensity, uncertainty, and change.
This session is offered as a bilingual group. Participants are welcome to participate in the language they are most comfortable using.

Seeing your child go through a mental health crisis is a distressing experience that can leave any parent feeling uncertain. This webinar is designed to help you prepare and feel more confident if you need to navigate the healthcare system.
Together, we will review the services available to support you, what to expect during a medical assessment, and what information is important to have on hand. We will also take time to talk about the emotional reality for parents — it is completely normal to experience a mix of fear, guilt, and even relief when support finally becomes available.
The goal is to provide you with the confidence and tools you need to know what to do and where to turn to help your young person during difficult moments.

Who it’s for
Pre-adoptive parents who are considering adoption, waiting for a match, placement, or next steps in their adoption journey, and are looking for guidance, information, and support during the waiting period.
What to expect
While You’re Waiting is a guided support series created specifically for pre-adoptive parents. Sessions feature guest presenters, such as professionals, experienced caregivers, and adoption-informed speakers, who share different perspectives, practical information, and insight into the adoption process.
Alongside learning, the series creates space to talk about uncertainty, questions, and emotions that often arise while waiting, offering both reassurance and connection during this stage.
