As a Support Network Coordinator, you will: 
- Facilitate Peer Support: Create opportunities for adoptive parents, those waiting to adopt, kinship caregivers, and foster parents to connect, learn, and support each other. 
- Coordinate Programs: Organize, promote, and lead support groups, workshops, panels, and webinars. 
- Provide Direct Support: Offer peer support and build relationships with participants by phone, email, and online. 
Currently, most of our programming is virtual, but some in-person meetings and programming may be required in the future.
We seek a dedicated individual with relevant experience.
Key Assets:
- Previous involvement with the NB Adoption Support Network. 
- Experience as an adoptive, kinship, or foster parent. 
- Knowledge of the New Brunswick foster care and adoption process, and available services for children who have experienced abuse and neglect. 
Required Qualifications:
- Residency: Currently reside in New Brunswick. 
- Understanding: Knowledge of the unique needs of children who have experience in the child welfare system. 
- Experience: Proven ability to coordinate, promote, and facilitate groups and workshops (virtual and in-person). 
- Tech Skills: Proficient with social media, especially Facebook. 
- Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
- Work Style: Self-motivated, able to work independently, and collaboratively with a team (electronically and in person). 
- Commitment to inclusivity and diversity  
- Education: University degree in Social Sciences or equivalent education and experience. 
- Home Office: Able to work from a home office with reliable high-speed internet. 
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
