NB Adoption Support Network Coordinator - Francophone Community
French required/English required
1-year renewable position
NB Adoption Support Network Coordinator - Anglophone Community
English required/French an asset
1-year with the possibility of renewal
Work Site: Working out of a home-based office
Status: Part-Time - 20 hours/week
Hours: Flexible
Salary Range: Begins at $22/hr with consideration of skills and experience
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Support Network Coordinator, you will:
Provide an avenue for adoptive parents, and those waiting to adopt, to support, learn, encourage, and inspire one another.
Facilitate support groups, coordinate workshops and webinars
Facilitate panels of adoptive parents, adoptees, youth
Provide peer support and develop respectful relationships with participants by phone, email, and online
Current programming is 100% virtual but the position may require some in-person meetings and programming.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Definite assets
Knowledge and participation with the NB Adoption Support Network
Being an experienced adoptive parent or foster parent
Knowledge of the foster care and adoption process in New Brunswick and the services available to children who have experienced abuse and neglect
Required
Currently residing in New Brunswick
Understanding of the special needs of children who have been in the child welfare system
Experience in coordinating, promoting, and facilitating groups and workshops both virtually and in person
Proficient in social media especially Facebook
Excellent oral and written communication
Self-motivated and able to work very independently as well as collaboratively with a team, electronically and in person.
Openness to working with diverse families
University degree in Social Sciences or equivalent in education training and experience
Able to work from a home office with access to reliable High-Speed internet
Able to work flexible hours including occasional evenings and weekends
Fully vaccinated for Covid 19.
